The CHT Group consists of 28 companies in which more than 2,500 people work worldwide. Our head office is in Tübingen. We produce our specialty chemicals for the TEXTILE SOLUTIONS and INDUSTRY SOLUTIONS segments. With our SCIENCE & SERVICE SOLUTIONS, we bring advice and the latest developments to our customers to make their processes and products even better and more sustainable.

No matter where in the world. Thanks to the broad positioning of our business areas, we can score points with interesting areas of application and activity: For example, we improve the quality, functionality, appearance and purity of textiles and optimize their manufacturing processes. The INDUSTRY SOLUTIONS business area offers interesting products and process solutions in the areas of silicones, building materials, paints, coatings, leather, release agents, paper, agricultural chemicals, mining and cleaning and care products.

Beyond the current offers on the website, you can always give us a call to ask if we can arrange an internship in your desired field at a time that works for you. In addition to your personal data and information about the internship period, you'll need to supply us with the following documentation:

Cover letter in which you briefly introduce yourself and explain why you would like to do a student internship with us or take advantage of a trial offer
Curriculum vitae, which contains your previous educational pursuits, extracurricular activities, etc. and your contact details
A copy of your two most recent report cards
Copy of the information letter from your school

YES. YOUR TRAINING PROGRAM AT CHT GERMANY

Choosing the right training course and the right training institution is the starting signal for a successful career. That's why we present the various apprenticeships in Germany and the dual study program here. We complete around 20 apprenticeships every year - but not all of the apprenticeships listed start every year. It is best to only apply if your desired apprenticeship is also advertised under "Vacancies".

Say YES to your apprenticeship as a chemical lab assistant (m/f/d)

Chemical lab assistants take on a variety of application and analytical tasks in a variety of laboratories, for example

independently conducting analyses, syntheses, and chemical-technical investigations
Handling both simple mechanical devices and more complicated equipment
Logging experiments and evaluating the results

We say YES to what you do best

The chemical laboratory assistant apprenticeship (m/f/d) is the right fit for you if you:

have a good secondary school diploma or a higher degree
are interested in chemistry and natural sciences
like working with others and are willing to learn and perform
are a reliable team player
are responsible, work carefully and have stamina

Good to know

The apprenticeship lasts 3.5 years (with a fast-track option), the apprenticeship will take place at CHT Tübingen (training laboratory and in-company training) and the Kerschensteinerschule in Stuttgart (block instruction) as well as CHT Oyten with basic training at the University of Bremen and the Bremen Vocational School. After the training you will work as a laboratory technician in the research and development laboratories, in the application technology department as well as in the analytical departments, quality control or product safety.
